About the race

The Escrick 10k is a flat, scenic multi-terrain 10km course, running on-road for the Start and Finish sections and then on paths and bridleways within the Escrick Park Estate.

The race provides a unique opportunity to run along picturesque tracks and trails not normally open to the public.

The run starts and finishes on the Escrick Village Green which is on Carr Lane – and car parking available at Queen Margaret’s school – see the ‘Find Us’ page for directions.

The race is subject to UKA rules. Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day.

Last date for entry is noon on Tuesday, August 15th.

Entry includes:

  • entry to the race
  • car parking
  • chip timing
  • a medal for all finishers
  • water at the 5km mark
  • water at the finish line
  • chocolate bar/snack at the finish line

Event timings:

  • 09:30 Car park and facilites open
  • 11:00 Race start
  • 11:30 First runners expected to complete
  • 12:30 Course closes
  • 12:30 Children's fun-run
  • 13:30 Event finishes and car parks closed

Prizes:

Prizes will be awarded to: 1st, 2nd & 3rd, Male and Female.

Category prizes for:

  • >40, >50, >60 and >70 Male
  • >40, >50, >60 and >70 Female

The Course:

The course is a 10k multi-terrain course, starting from, and ending at Escrick Village Green.

The first and last km are mostly on tarmac, the rest of the race is mostly bridleways through the Escrick Park Estate. Depending on weather conditions, there can be some muddy sections through the woods.
