About the Race...A flat, scenic 10K course, running on roads, paths and bridleways within the Escrick Park Estate; we have mapped the run using iMapMyRun click this to view.The run starts and finishes on the Escrick Village Green which is on Carr Lane – see the 'How To Find Us' tab for directions. You can apply directly through a form downloaded from this website, or you can apply online through the ukresults.net link in the menu on the left. Please note that the course is not suitable for wheelchairs. Entry fees are £9 for affiliated club runners and £11 for non-affiliated runners. Entries close on August 12th and there is no entry on the day.

UK Athletics Road Race Licence Number: 2010-0405 Minimum age for entry: 15 Information for Runners On The Day...There will be a free of charge marshalled tent where competitors may leave their belongings at their own risk. A barbeque will be in operation from 10.00 a.m. until an hour after the run is complete, offering hot bacon, sausage, chicken and vegetarian rolls, hot and cold drinks, ice cream and light refreshments. Prices for 2011 are: Chili Chicken Bap £1.50 Sausage or Bacon or Vegeburger Bap £1 Mini Hot Dog 50p Home Made Tray Bakes 50pTea and Coffee 50p Juice 20p. This was extremely popular last year so remember to tuck some money in your sock! Toilets will be available on the Green or in the Village Hall nearby - check back later for confirmation. A Warm Up Leader from the DW Sports Fitness Club will be performing warm up exercises from 10.45 on the day. Presentation of Prizes will be at approx. 12.20 p.m., before the Fun Run begins, at the Start/Finish Line. St John’s Ambulance are providing the first aid facilities. Your Race Numbers will be available for collection on the day - please come to the main tent on the village green and please leave sufficient time to collect them. The course is approximately one mile and will take place on roads and paths that are closed to traffic. It is open to all children under the age of 15 and was very popular last year with the runners and very encouraging spectators! |
